Crème brûlée

 Crème brûlée

"Do it again!" was my husband's first word after trying 😁

Hi there! It was a long time I didn't post here anything. Today I'd like to share creme brulee recipe which I've tried several times and it came good.

So for it you'll need ramekins (a small dish for baking and serving an individual portion of food) and small propane torch.

Ingredients:

500 ml heavy whipping cream

130 gr egg yolk (6 eggs)

80-100 gr sugar

Vanilla

 Brown sugar for topping

Heat the oven to 120-150 C (305-320 F )

In a saucepan heat cream, if you use vanilla beans add them too. Bring them to boil, but don't boil. Discard vanilla beans, but if you are using vanilla extract add them now.

In a bowl, beat yolks+sugar - no need to use a mixer. Try to stir well, pour warm cream slowly, not to cook yolks. Pour mixture in small ramekins (4-6 portions) and place them in a baking dish. Fill dish with boiling water halfway up the sides if the ramekins.

Bake for 30-40 minutes. They are ready when centers are barely set. Cool them room temperature, then place in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

When ready to serve, top each one with about a teaspoon of brown sugar in a very thin layer. Use propane torch to caramelize them.
